Scientist Unveils Mind-Reading Computer Device

 

Now a computer that reads your mind! A German scientist has unveiled a device that he says is able to do exactly that. The Brain-Computer Interface ??or the BCI ??is able to read our thoughts and translate them into signals enabling us to operate devices that are connected to the Internet. That’s achieved by measuring electric signals sent out by the brain, which are then picked up by electrodes attached to the scalp. Its inventor Klaus Robert Moeller says the device has many uses. “So in the future we want to use this technology to help the disabled. Other interesting directions are man-machine interaction. This is a new unexplored channel to be explored.”
